That did it. I uninstalled like 3 of them and now my games work. They are messed up at startup and go to a green screen. then like 3 seconds later they are fine and keep going. I am gonna see what else I can do and disable the updates. (again). thanks for the help

I have a HP Pavillion a6110n Desktop. I installed XP service Pack 2, realtek audio manager drivers, and nvidia drivers. and what all do u want in the way of system specs?

If, as you say, you're certain that the updates are the cause of your problem, then you can uninstall them. It may be just a single update that caused the problem, as it is extememly unlikely that just the act of updating caused the problem. So, although it may be tedious, I would start by uninstalling the last one that was installed, and work backwards to try and identify the possible culprit. Retry your games, etc. after each one.

Some system specs and make and model of computer and service packs installed would be a good thing.

I am not sure how to. Every item I click on to get to some manager or something it takes me to loading updates on the computer. Where is the manager or how can I uninstall them?

Go to Control Panel => Add or Remove Programs. Make sure the 'Show Updates' box at the top is checked. If you sort by 'Date Last Used' you should be able to identify the ones you installed by the installation date.
