Hi guys,

I need your help on solving this problem.

Computer: Compaq Presario SR1968cf
Monitor: Hp w19e
OS: Windows XP Home Edition

Problem:
After I formatted my computer and installed a new windows(my hp backup could not start and I didn't
burn the recovery cds ). The volume display that shows the volume level when you
increase or decrease it has disappeared. Does anyone out there know how to fix this problem. Is there
a software to download to fix it? Thanks in advance.

start, control panel, sounds and audio devices, having the volume tab selected, check Place volume icon in the taskbar and click OK

Did you check in control panel? You could reinstall the sound card drivers. Other than that I don't know.

Hi

Are you just missing the volume control or are you missing sound also?

Thank you soooo much. . I installed the keyboard and mouse driver that was on the link and after restarting, the volume bar appeared. Thank you again.
