The problem I am having is identical to the one listed here:
http://forums.techguy.org/windows-95...dows-98-a.html

except it is not the the vshinit.vxd thats listed on my screen its the vserver.vxd (see below)
I don't want to go deleting anything until I check with one of you experts, what do you think I should do? The computer starts in safe mode. I got this computer free because of this problem, and I hope if I can get it to work, I can get the keyboard to work as well, then if theres enough memory, update it to XP.(maybe) So can someone help me out?

When I first sign on to my computer I get this message.
"Cannot find a device file that may be needed to run Windows or a Windows application.
The windows registry or SYSTEM.INT file refers to this device file, but the device file no longer exists.
If you deleted this file on purpose, try uninstalling the associated application using its uninstall or setup program.
If you still want to use the application associated with this device file, try reinstalling that application to replace the missing file.

vserver.vxd
Press any key to continue"
