Hello,

The president of my company asked me to post this. Every year, when Daylight Saving Time occurs, his calendar in Outlook shifts. This is not unique to this year (and the new DST rules) - this has been happening for years -- it HAS to be something in Outlook, as it's happened on multiple computers.

Whether he sets his time/date and Outlook preferences to "auto-detect DST" or not, the same thing will happen.

If the DST kicks in, and (for example), moves his clock ahead an hour (for Spring) - then all of his 'tasks' in his Outlook calendar ALSO advance an hour (so, his 1pm appt. shifts to 2pm in his calendar). If he does NOT adjust for DST, then - of course - his calendar stays intact, but his computer appears to be running a hour behind, in terms of time.

Please help!

Thanks so much!

Chris

Do you mean the DST patch for this year? If so, yes...but it's irrelevant. This problem didn't just start this year - it's been happening for the past 3-4 years...even before the change in DST...

Has the DST patch been applied to the computer?

Check his time zone settings - there is a checkbox to "enable" DST or disable it. Also make sure he's set up in the correct TZ.

Does he login to a server that is located in a different time zone? That server may not have been patched.
