Hi. Dont know if I stated that right. Here's my prob.

Some people like the design templates offered in Powerpoint and may use it to print out say as a report cover. However, when printed on paper ther is always a small white border. Is there a way of getting around this. I've tried expanding, scale to fit the paper, changing the size of the paper - no dice.

PS the border appears when doing a layout in publisher too.

Greatly appreciated

File-Page setup.
Must have as document.
Not all printers are capable of printing to the edge of the paper.
To find out, open Word. File-Page setup. Set all margins to zero and hit OK. It'll say "Fix" or "Ignore". Choose Fix. Go back into the page setup and look at the margins. These are the minimum margins your printer is capable of printing. Have you ever heard of a "bleed"? That's when the ink goes all the way to the edge of the paper. The way a Kinkos handles this is by printing on a piece of paper that is LARGER than desired, and then trimming the paper to desired size. It's more expensive to design "with a bleed" because the printer uses bigger paper and also must trim that paper. Very few printers--even the quarter-million-dollar jobbies--are capable of printing EXTREMELY close to the edge of the paper.
