I have a legal copy of MS Office 2000 running on Windows 98SE. I registered the product. Later I reformatted my disk and reloaded the OS along with PowerPoint and I keep getting pop ups telling me to register everytime I start up the program. It now says I have 35 more times to use the program before it shuts down I presume. My question is how can I get these initial registration pop ups to stop.

Thanks

pjgrim

I am not sure, but don't think Office 200 (or POwerPoint 2000) has any activation requirement.

I think you are referring to Activation of the program, which is required whenever it gets reinstalled after a reformat type event.

Registration is a voluntary action. Activation is required.

Office 2000 and subsequent versions required activation in some countries and areas only. Oceania was one that was subject to it.

If you formatted and reinstalled, you have to re-register.
