I am experiencing an MS Excel memory error.

The error reads as follows:

The instruction at "0x301f1e98" referenced memory at "0x00000030." The memory could not be "read." Click OK to terminate and Click CANCEL to debug the program.

Clicking either results in a shut down of the Excel file.

I've tried looking this up in google.com, and the only reference was a memory stick ( I believe referring to RAM), however other excel files work. I tried renaming the file with a different version and the same result occured.

If there's anyone who can help, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

Use a program like OpenOffice Calc to read the file. Save it in Excel format and reopen.

If the file is corrupted, this will fix it.

This may not fix all corrupted files.

The file may be corrupted. Check out some file recovery software. You can get them fairly cheap these days and they are well worth the investment (IMHO).
