Hi

I have a printing company wanting to charge me 100 UK pounds to convert a 3 page .doc with pictures to a pdf, illustrator, quark or mac format.

Personally I think they are taking the pi**.

Would be grateful to know if there is an easy way to do this.

I have Office 2003 and XP pro

Thanks

Mike

I managed to sort out the size problem.....

Now the printers say there is rgb in the pdf - (colour)

I have made all the pictures Grayscale and the text is black - what else can I do

They mentioned it would be ok in a Tiff format - therefore doc to tiff or pdf to Tiff is what I want ??

Thanks

Mike

Thanks

I just installed Cute, but the resulting text and image size has been reduced on Print Out. I need it the exact same size as my Word Doc

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Mike

Sure does. From their site:

CutePDF Writer installs itself as a "printer subsystem". This enables virtually any Windows applications (must be able to print) to create professional quality PDF documents - with just a push of a button!

Installation Requirements

* Supports Microsoft Windows 98/ME/2000/XP (x64)/2003 (x64).
* Requires PS2PDF converter such as Ghostscript (recommended - you can get the free GPL Ghostscript 8.15 here).

Same here. Works like a charm.

Yes. I use another free program, PrimoPDF, but most work the same way. The PDF "converter" shows up as an additional printer. If you open a Word file and print to the "converter", it creates a PDF of the document and saves it.
