hey every one,

I have Visual Studio 2005 and I just recently installed SQL Server 2005 Express Edition. Well, I heard that you can actually host your own web site on there and found that quite neat. I would like to be able to do that but I'm haveing trouble finding resources to learn from so I accomplish such a thing.

Any tips?

Bigk

Not sure what you mean by "hosting your web site on it". You can use it as a back end database for your web site as long as your web host supports it. You can also use it locally as a testing environment for building web sites.

SQL Server Express has nothing to do with hosting a web site. You can host a web site without MSDE as long as your ISP is OK with it, you have a domain name and a way to either use a static IP address or use a dynamic DNS service and have a web server like Apache or IIS.
