Hi

As I have mentioned I am renting a server and would like to create a datbase in it. I am ok with sql but the examples I have in a book assume I am using a free my sql database server and im a bit lost.

I can create a database and user pass in the control panel but how would I create the table and put it in there, view it, add records, delete records etc? I know the sql commands but thats about it.

Hope I am clear

Cheers

Gus

No, not directly. You would need to convert it. I would recommend starting another thread.

phpmyadmin is the best way to visually represent a table...you should see it in the bottom of your mysql control panel

You should be able to open it up, select a database, and then there should be links to add a table, etc...
