I am unable to read any floppy or cd-rom since my latest update. CD-Rom, CD-RW, Floppy drive had previously functioned without difficulty. I have been able to burn cds from ITunes. I have installed the latest drivers. Device Manager reports that drives are working. Am able to find drives in Explorer, however when I try to access media, I get the message to please insert a disk in drive (). I am set up as the network administrator. After uninstalling and reinstalling the devices, I am able to use them one time. Many problems with this w/ XP2 upgrades on microsoft newsgroups with no known solutions that I could find.
