i have a customs built pc, with a serial ATA adabter drive in it , but i cant get my comptuer read my windows 2000 cd , does anyone have an idead?, thank you

Are you trying to install win2k or are you just trying to access the cd from the existing operating system? Your post is not clear on what exactly you are trying to do.

If you are trying to install win2k on to a drive connected to the sata card, you will need to load the driver for the card during the first part of the install.

Post back with what you are trying to accomplish.

Did you put the CD-ROM into the boot order in the BIOS setup making sure it was before the hard drive in the sequence?
