when i start my pc it loads windows the icons come up the the desktop image then everything disapears to a blue screen. no errors or nuthing all i can do is ctrl alt dlt and open my task manager and launch AOL to post here

The installation CD is a must as we do not know what has transpired prior to the onset of the issue. It looks like a repair is in order.

Have you booted from the win 2k cd, and attempted to repair? Do not start repair from the first prompt, but continue as if you were installing a new windows, without formatting of course. It should find your current windows, and then give you the option to repair.
