I have no idea where I am. I am staying at the Homewood suites. Friendly Chevy is across the street from the hotel. Does Inwood Street ring a bell. I only know how to get to the Airport and where I am working. We work in the afternoons so I will be gone the rest of the day.

You can get a format disk from boot.com - download it, make a floppy, put floppy in computer, when it boots up, it will stop and give you a c prompt, you type in format and then it gets you into the format options and you can make that HD into one 4 gig HD partition...doc

Mmm, how old is this PC? If it's as old as MS-DOS, its BIOS may not even know about booting from a CD.

Does it have a network card? Maybe you could install from a network share.

That's probably the case. Because, no matter how hard I try to configure the BIOS, I can't find any settings that would make it recognize that it has a CD Drive. On boot order, all it has is A,C or C,A.

Unfortunately, we don't have a network that would allow us to do anything like a network share. Is there any way I can totally wipe it clean, and install at least Windows 2000 on it? I tried the Windows 2000 disks, but I got an error message (see page one of this thread)

Please, I really need to figure this out. Is there any way? How?

Maybe. But you need to figure out the Make and Model of the motheroboard. But I bet there is a reason why the HD is partitioned into two 2gb partitions. There is most likely a bios limitation on how much drive space it can recognize. A bios upgrade may fix this as well.

I do not recommend putting Windows 2000 on this computer. What are the CPU and Memory specs?

Why don't you just use a Windows 98 boot disk? Run FDISK and delete the partitions.
