I have a question.
We bought our son a used computer for his room.
It has the windows 2000 pro on it.
He can't use any messengers?
Is there anyway that you can?
I would hate to have to go out and buy a new operating system.
Thanks so much...
take care,
Kim

So I did a google search and found some "reasonable" Microsoft products:
http://www.malldrive.com/category.php?category=10

Are these companies legitimate ??
I want a legal (and inexpensive) version of MS 2000 professional ...
Thanks!!!

It is probably because he is not logged on as administrator. Unless you have the admin password you may be out of luck.

My son said that when he tries to install MSN messenger, a message
comes on saying that its windows professional and that messengers
can't be downloaded? Is this odd?

That's an odd error message, you might want to check what it says yourself.

I think Rockn's on the right lines.
