Hi,

i have a problem with installing frontpage 2000 on win98 SE machines .
The machines are all on an NT domain and use roaming profiles.
when I install frontpage on them , no -one can see the program but the administrator of the domain.......

I am used to working with NT and 2K......

I have tried putting a shortcut to it in the common startup menu as still no joy..it just syas something like this program needs to be installed....blah, blah

it could be that when u first run some office products windows installer has to finish installing that product for that person profile if they havnt logged on that machine before.

Any ideas

cheers

mike

but with NT i know u can log on locally to that machine...

I dont know what account was intially used to set up the O/s as i am just helping out someone and they had someone in to install all of the network.

thanks again

Log on to the workstations locally...not the admin account when you install the software. The local account is the one you used to initially install the OS.
