I'm trying to put a font on my site, something a little script, like amazone, or Monotype Corsiva. Can somebody recommend one that will work on most browsers?

Davey,

I'm very much the same, if it's difficult to read, I'm off

But I feel sorry for those who may have spent a lot of time and effort creating what could be a brilliant website, but for their design.

I don't suggest that a website should be boring, just relatively aesthetically pleasing

You can virtually use any fonts installed when windows was installed. The best place to check them out is in notepad or in Control Panel \ Fonts

Remember that not all fonts look good at very high resolutions being just that little bit too small. Also remember that typefaces like Monotype Corsiva can be very tiring on the eyes for large quantities of text

As putasolution mentioned any default fonts loaded by a Windows install would be a safe bet to use since they will also reside on the viewing computer. If you use an exotic font and the font is not available for use on viewing computer the text will default.

putasolution..... I like your idea of personal attention being paid to the person viewing the website. So many times I click a site and see either the background or text is not pleasing and quickly leave to search elsewhere for information.

Thanks for all your help, guys. I'll try to get a hold of a puter that doesn't have any additional fonts installed, and check which fonts are acceptable.
It is just for a heading, the whole site is with a regular font, but you are correct, sometimes, we have sites with a colorful/black background, with lots of info, which makes it impossible to read.
