hi everyone i was hoping that someone who knew al little bit about dreamweaver mx and photoshop could tell me how to build a website from some photoshop graphics. i know photoshop like the back of my hand but cant figure out how to make it interface with dreamweaver using the graphics. i have no knowledge of code. all the books and tutorials just tell how to build it straight in dreamweaver.

Which would you rather do, dreamweaver or learn to write html? Html isn't that hard actually and there are plenty of web sites out there to teach you. And to be honest, loading html to a web site is easier cause you usually end up having to make corrections to the code once you get it on your page if you load it in WYSIWYG. Liz

Try the Dreamweaver tutorials, there's plenty of them. It isn't that difficult but it does help to know a little html first, because chances are you will need to do some trouble shooting. Check out W3 schools they have lots of information to get you familiar with html. http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/

It doesn't interface with Dreamweaver but it can export your work to HTML. You need to decide while you are working in Photoshop how you want the page layout to go, add slices to your image and then use the "jump to imageready" button at the bottom of the tools pallette. Once you are in ImageReady go to view > show > slices and then go to File > save optimized as html. YOu can set different preferences for the way the slices are output and what folder they are added to. Pretty easy once you do it a few times. Once it is in HTML you will have to adjust and tailor your layout in DW to get it correct.
