Hi, I hope I'm in the correct Forum for a Dreamweaver Question.

In the Dreamweaver Link box I enter http://www.craftee.co.uk/embellishme....html%23anchor (Where Anchor is a named anchor).

I can't use # for Named Anchors because my Shopping Cart Software doesn't like it.

All is fine, untill I edit the link again, then Dreamweaver changes the %23 back to a # and my Cart Software ignores it.

Does anyone now how I can stop Dreamveaver changing the %23 without my permission.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,

Paul.

Does it has to be %23anchor ?

because if you go to preferences and set "encode special characters using % in "code rewriting / url encoding" and you enter just %anchor in the link box in properties toolbar it will write automatically %25anchor in your code

never used this kind of code but maybe it helps you

Hi Fade,

I'm sorry but I don't know why I have to use %23 I assumed it was a code that means #

I'll try your suggestion and see what happens.

Thanks,

Paul
