My computer has an XP system. I have a HP Deskjet 6940 printer. The printer is hooked up via a router D-Link WBR-1310. Everything was working fine. I hit the wrong button on the printer after putting in more paper and now my computer no longer recognizes my printer. I have checked all connections. I have unplugged the printer and plugged it back in. I have uninstalled and re-installed the printer system. I can print a test page on the printer, so I don't think the printer is the problem.
Any suggestions???

do you know what button you hit incorrectly - does it have a work offline button

Is this using the computer driver to print a test page or a test page from the printer buttons
so what programs will not work with it ?

if you log into the router can you see the printer in an DHCP allocation table of IP's
