And back to my original question. How do I get rid of that "reminder" bubble that keeps popping up? I've got everything else under control. Thank you.

If you want to get rid of that the you need to go to the Security Center and disable it. Open the Security Center, then click on Recommendations and check the box to disable notifications.

Thanks Triple 6. My version is a little different, but I found where to change the settings. Much appreciated. I wish I was were you live about now. We'll be having 100+ weather here for about five months.

You can disable th notification however the Security Center should have detected that you have ZoneAlarm installed. There may be a problem with your ZoneAlarm Firewall configuration or installation of ZoneAlarm.

well if you open security center, does it say if any firewall is on? Also go into zone alarm, click on the za icon in taskbar and then click firewall. Set the first slider all the way up and second to the medium setting. Then see if it goes away.

I guess I didn't phrase that too well. I am currently using ZoneAlarm but just installed SP2 and would like to disable their security alerts including their firewall. I was able to turn the SP2 firewall off but I still keep getting that little pop-up bubble. That's what I would like to remove. Thanks.

Thanks. What about the icon for Windows Security Alert that on my task bar? I'd like to get rid of that.
