I have an entire 40GB disk that is formatted as FAT32 because I wanted a common storage disk for Linux and Windows. It is a candidate for bad defragmentation as I will be writing and deleting often, sometimes small files - Word and Openoffice documents, MP3s, pictures, etc... I am looking for my best option for keeping that partition healthy.

1. What is the best free application that you know of?

2. Which paid version do you think is the best and is it that much better than the freebie?

Thanks,

B.

I use Raxco PerfectDisk, and so far it's worked well for me.
