I downloaded the WIN98--9.0MultiMedia Player from Micosoft web page.
now I get" Media Player format is not supported"//"MediaPlayer:MMSYSTEM.281:check filename or install driver that supports this type of file"//File wmp.dll has ver.#9.0.0.3128 where 9.0.0.2980 was expected.///"ERROR: Format not supported(error:80040265). It also caused other prblems as well, Like "Explorer caused a general protection fault in Module :KRNI.386.EXE at 0001:0000ac95.// Fatal Exception OE has occured at 0187:BFFAADOB.
When I downloaded 98---MultiMedia9 there was a driver update also so I downloaded it as well. It's all scewed up and I can't seem to fix it, Is there anyone that can help or give me some advice??
I have the NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X ...File ver.4.14.10.5664// Hardware ver.162 card. I was told this was a decent  graph. card. Why does'nt this card support WIN98 MediaPlayer9??
I also have the VIA AC97 Enhanced Audio Controller(WDM) ver.080. What am I doing wrong or not doing?? this has also caused my sys. not to shut down properly. Can any one help?? huh
