I have a Windows 98 computer with I.E. 6.0 just recently updated. A few weeks ago I started having problems with my I.E. Here is a list of the problems I am having; they could be related they might not, who knows.

1. I.E. Doesn't Print - When button click, right click print, and eve nfile print don't work

2. Links - don't take you anywhere, don't work, can't open page in new window

3. Outlook - Does not print either and links don't work either

4. Error in module Kernel32.dll when web surfing

5. Error in module Msvcrt.dll when web surfing

6. Error in module Vbscript and Jbscript when web surfing

7. Finally, I cannot go to certain sites due to flash and other things. I think because of these errors.

I work in sales and this computer is the only thing I have. I cannot afford a new one, but I can afford to try and manualkly fix these problems. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE Help me.

Thanks

Brandon

Hi,

Can you confirm that you have tried IE Repair as suggested?

Have you tried this:

Start>run>type sfc
You will need your original install CD. ......as suggested by Blues?

Do you only get errors when using the Internet?

Hi Brandon,

you could try an IE repair:

Click Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Information
Click Tools (tool bar) -> Internet Explorer Repair Tool

Does this help?

Thanks for the help.

For the most part everything works fine as far as the links and the printing, but the .dll problems almost seem worse then before I did the repair. Especially MSVCRT.dll is a real pain in the butt. Membe rAugie65 told me to download IEFix and I did but when I go to load it there is a grey box that says Run-time error '429' ActiveX component can't create object. I really hate these dll errors due to the fact that now I cannot even check my yahoo mail or my msn mail without getting booted offline. Any thoughts?

I tried everything to replace the file nothing seems to work. As the days go on it seems to be getting worse. Now I am having my whole computer lock up with Kernel32.dll errors as well. I need some help due to fact that almost every website I go to allows me to have either the MSVCRT.DLL Error Or THe KERNEL32.DLL Error. Please show me how to replace the dll files for a very basic computer user. As well as your input on the Kernel32 error and how to fix it.

Thanks

Brandon
