My dad is having this problem with his computer and no one seems to know how to fix it, so I thought I'd try here. He has Windows 98, and that's about all I know. Any way, it keeps bringing up a blue screen which states:

Cannot write files to disk in drive C:
Data or files may be lost

Press any key to continue

It pops up about every 2 or 3 seconds, and is making the computer incapable of being used. It all started after he installed some Norton program, I believe it was called Norton System Works. You can press any key and it will go back to what you were doing, but about as soon as you press the key, it pops up again. Does any one know how to fix this error?

Hi,

If this is the case and System Works is causing the problem - uninstall from Add/Remove in the Control Panel.

Test out your system now.

Reinstall System Works.

EDIT

You may be able to get to ADD/Remove in Safe Mode ( worth a try ) .....constantly tap f8 on boot up ... select Safe Mode.
Graphics will look odd.
