just recently, over the last couple weeks, I began getting this error when I try to go to cetain sites which I use frequently. most are sites where I have to log into the site, I.E. yahoo mail (the site itself I can go to and use every function. However, when I try to go to the log in page I get the message when I enter username and password and hit enter, sometimes I get the message befor I even get to the login page, another is netflix same exact thing, I have an aol email as well, yet whey I go to aol mail I get the message before I even get a chance to enter login info. oh yeah, dont know if it means anything but I use IE 7 and have installed undates for it as well as xp. I have firefox installed on my computer and canno even open that browser. I've tried all the suggestions the error message suggests i.e. refresh button, checking security settings, checking that I have "use" ssl 2.0, ssl 3.0, pct 1.0 etc. etc. etc. I've tried disabling firewall, tried safe mode, ran aware se (again, I can open the program, yet when I click check for new definitions I get the message.) I can go to adaware's site (lavasoft) try to obtain the deifnitions that way (same thing.....aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) as of right now aware is the only spyware program I have installed......I've downloaded spybot S&D run the program (outdated definitions (click on check fo updates....well, you get the idea. same message. I have recently uninstalled some programs I hafent used in a whle and during th uninstall I get the "windows indicates this file is no longer being used by another program do you still want to delete it" well I click "NO TO ALL" just in case. so I kinda have a feeling these unused files could be causing the problem but I dont get an error message relating to this... once in a while I get "IE has encountered a problem and needs to cloase" annd IE closes. when it asks if I want to send the message to windows I answer yes but dont get any suggestions that help. I cannot think of any other situations of other prblems right now, but if I remember anything I'll let you know as we go. Please, any suggestions whould be apprecialted...........I aplogize for the "LENGHY" post but I am goiing nuts...........finally, there are 3 other pc's in the house, non of which give me the same problem..............
