One thing I like at one computer I have is that it uses mostly the Firefox browser. If this Firefox browser ever closes unexpectedly (crashes) and one has a number of tabs open to various websites, Firefox will ask if you want all of the tabs recovered the next time Firefox is opened.

On another computer I use, it only has Internet Explorer 7. If IE7 unexpectedly closes (crashes) with a number of tabs opened to various websites, is there a way to automatically recover all of these tabbed websites when IE is reopened later?

AFAIK know there is not, and I wish that there was. You're right, Firefox gives you the option to restore a session after a crash or start with your homepage as a new browser session. This is a very useful feature.
