I have Vista Home Premium, Quicktime 7.1.5 and IE7.
If I try to download MP4 files the Internet Explorer Add-on window appears. Accepting this freezes the screen and no download takes place.

I have the standalone version of Quicktime working following the use of Windows Install Clean Up after an earlier version of Quicktime was mistakenly installed.

Quicktime plays existing .mp4 files without any problems.

Can anyone help, please?

I did a registry clean and the problem disappeared.

Should have done that first.
