I have the speedtouch 330 adsl modem, originally for Windows XP.
I got the drivers for vista from the Thomsons site, and installed it onto my vista machine. So everything was runnig smoothly, I went onto google, did a few searches, went to winamp, and I downloaded the latest internet updates (I got the computer today).
Then I try to go somewhere and the page hangs, try restarting and connecting again, just doesn't do anything, tried pinging random address in command prompt and i get 0% loss so I am totally confused.
I thought it might of been the fact that I downloaded some updates, so i uninstalled them all, but the problem remains.
Tried uninstalling the modem and re-installnig quite a few times, and sometimes it will open pages for 30 secs or so and then just do the same thing again.
Please someone help, I only got the computer today, here are my ipconfig /all details:

I have a Westell 6100 and I'm basically having the same problem. I'll be online for about 15 mins and the hardware will cycle down and it will cycle back up again. Sometimes it will just hang, and I have to manually power cycle it again. I've called tech support at Verizon..completely useless, these people don't know anything other than what their scripts tell them, and they are also in India, they can barely speak my language fluently! This is one of many...many reasons I signed up here for Vista, because Vista..in a word...SUCKS!
