Hi there

We are just in the process of ordering a few Dell pcs for work that come standard with Vista basic. The guy at dell said that these will not work on a network, and said we are better going with XP pro at extra costs per computer.

Is this correct? The computers have to be linked for sage accounts, probably one will connect to the net.

If hes right and Vista basic will not work on a network, should we upgrade to Vista business.

Thanks for your time

Sorry this may seem like a stupid question, but what do you mean by they wont connect to a domain?

Thanks for the reply by the way

If you have a Windows server, the Home versions won't login to a Windows domain. If this is a peer workgroup situation, you have no problems.
