"Printer Offline" on a Lexmark Z645 Printer (Microsoft Windows Vista->System issue)
This issue may be related to incorrect settings of the Lexmark Z645 printer. After performing research, there is a tool on Lexmark’s website to resolve the issue. We can follow the steps below to install the tool:
1. Go to: ftp://ftp.lexmark.com/driver/inkjet_drivers/temp/640/640Clean.exe

2. Download the executable file and save it to the Desktop.
3. Double-click on the file to open it. The License Agreement will appear.
4. Click "I accept the terms in the license agreement" after reading it, and then click Next.
5. On the next screen, click Change... and choose to save to the Desktop. A DOS window will open.
6. Close this screen.
7. On the Desktop, right-click on the file clean640.bat (the .bat extension may not be visible at the end of the file name) and choose Run As Administrator.
8. Again, a DOS window will open. About three lines up from the bottom you should see the following message: "Could not find C:\Windows\system32\lexbces.exe". This confirms that the service is stopped.
9. Reboot the computer and try to print (or install the Vista driver if needed).

What are the results? Is our issue resolved?
